| Application: | To keep rail switches (points) free from ice and snow during the winter season Solfic has designed an innovative gas fired heater bar for Adhetec BV. Compared to existing systems this new heating system has a significantly higher efficiency and offers easier installation while maintaining excellent reliability in harsh environments. All these factors contribute to a low cost of ownership for the end user (maintenance contractor) This project has been awarded 4th place at the second tender of the Dutch Senter 2000 BSE NETTO government funding program, based on innovative energy reduction and commercial potential. To obtain the required licence for supply for rail way applications a Dutch notified body, KIWA, has award the Solfic quality system with a "product certification" Adhetec/Solfic heater bar systems have been supplied for the railway locations Utrecht CS, Deventer, Roosendaal, Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer, Den Bosch and a few others. |
